June 19th – World Sickle Cell Day 2021 NASCO is presenting 19 stories, a story every day from June 1st to June 19th to spread awareness.
Day 1 NASCO presents 1st story of “19 days 19 dreams” !
A young #SickleCell warrior & musician Mr. Priya Ranjan from Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. Loss of eyesight didn’t stop him to pursue ‘his vision’.

Day 2 NASCO presents 2nd story of “19 days 19 dreams”.
Maharashtra’s Priti J, #SickleCell warrior, didn’t let personal tragedies deter her dream of pursuing Post graduate in political science & sociology.
She now gives employment to many women in community.
Day 3 NASCO presents 3rd story of “19 days,19 dreams”.
Maharashtra’s Harshal lost his parents & hearing capacity at just 5. His grandmother is his guardian & primary caregiver. Nearest hospital to his village is 15 kms away.

National Alliance of Sickle Cell Organizations (NASCO) is India’s first voluntary, non-profit, national organization constituted by patient advocate groups (PAGs) to educate and empower Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) patients and caregivers.
NASCO mission is to increase awareness in the general public about SCD and advocate for better quality of life for SCD patients.
NASCO is a consortium of like-minded patient organizations across the country with a mission to support people living with Sickle Cell Disease.
